We begin the clean-up phase of the storm in earnest when Mr Warren thanks the Almighty for saving him from having to spend the night with his students.

(Strip Number 4925, Original Publication Date, 2 February 1988)

Panel 1: We go back to school so Mike and Lawrence can look out the window and notice that the snow has stopped.

Panel 2: As Mike tells the other people that a city road crew has shown up to dig them out, a delighted Lawrence says that they're saved.

Panel 3: As Gordon, Darryl and Lawrence look on, a smiling Mike then tells Mr Warren that the buses have arrived so that they don't have to spend the night at school now.

Panel 4: The big chicken heaves a sigh of relief and says that yes, there is power in prayer.

Summary: If I recall correctly, this is the man's swan song. He comes in being a sadistic jerk and ends being a pathetic baby crying for his mama....just like Miss Blais. Also, this would appear to be it for Darryl Smythe as well. Aside from complaining about how their coach keeps playing the same bad player in an upcoming Sunday strip, he doesn't show up after this that I've noticed.
