(Strip Number 1248, Original Publication Date, 22 January 1988)
Panel 1: As he cabs to work, John tells the driver that he and his co-workers must be really busy. The driver confirms this.
Panel 2: He then says that John's smart not to drive in this because the radio says there's gonna be a real blizzard today. John says 'Yeah' in response.
Panel 3: He then says that the wife has the only car in the family that can get through weather like this.
Panel 4: We shift focus to find a baffled Elly stuck in a snow bank because she drove into a ditch like the some-weather motorist she is.
Summary: This means that we end the week with the anticipation that a police constable will tell her to return home because roads are closed and that John will arrive to a closed office and shut down downtown core. I hope standing on principle was worth it.
