(Strip Number 4903, Original Publication Date, 14 December 1987)
Panel 1: We find Mike watching television and drinking a soda; as he does so, Lizzie comes in and asks him if he remembers that Mom said that if you were to put liquid soap in the dishwasher, it would foam up all over the place.
Panel 2: Since he just remembered how Lizzie wanted to test Elly's hypothesis about tongues and frozen metal because she wanted to see if Mommy was lying to her, he asks "Uh-huh?" as he gets up to see what she's talking about.
Panel 3: When Lizzie tells him that Elly was right, his reaction to the foam all over the place is one of shock.
Summary: This is why it's a super-bad idea to have a kid watch a kid. Mike doesn't have the stamina, the brains or the authority to keep Lizzie's destructive tendencies in check and it shows. In his defense, though, Lizzie is just as well supervised with him on the job as she is when Elly is actually there.
