Mike makes light of Elly's tendency to lecture him about how he should get over the flu.

(Strip Number 4891, Original Publication Date, 18 November 1987)

Panel 1: Now that they're at home, Elly tells Mike (who's in his pajamas) to take some aspirin and get some sleep. Since Mike wants to just goof off at Elly's expense, he says that he doesn't feel like sleeping.

Panel 2: She says that if he's not going to get some bed rest, he should put on some slippers because he'll catch something else walking around barefoot.

Panel 3:: He play-acts at coughing and says he knows.

Panel 4: Elly is not especially happy when he says that he's picked up a NAGGING cough.

Summary: This is because she doesn't like being reminded that she's seen as a scold and a kill-joy and not especially caring or understanding.
