We lurch into a week of Elly complaining about how Mike is still very dependent on her when it turns out that one of the treats he brought home was a twenty-four hour flu bug.

(Strip Number 4889, Original Publication Date, 14 November 1987)

Panel 1: Mike tells Gord that he doesn't feel too good. Gord asks if he's kidding.

Panel 2: Mike isn't kidding 'cause he's got a stomach ache and fever; as he does so, Warren notices that he hears a voice that isn't the soporific drone he pushes past his lips.

Panel 3: He asks Mike if there's something he'd like to share with the class with a view to get him to can the chatter.

Panel 4: When Mike says "It's the flu", Warren is unmanned and even more witless.

Summary: We tag in a new child-hating failure of a human being when Elly moans about having to take care of a hypochondriac.
