(Strip Number 4888, Original Publication Date, 13 November 1987)
Panel 1: Old Man Warren drones on and puts his class to sleep babbling away about the geography of European Russia.
Panel 2: At random, he asks Mike what country used to be called Persia. This sudden interruption in the stream of boring speech confuses our boy.
Panel 3: Since Warren doesn't realize that he's a plodding speaker with a voice that lulls his class to speak, he puts on the phony solicitude when pointing out that he'd awoken Mike.
Panel 4: He then blames it all on the kid when he says that once again, he's confused a glassy stare with a look of interest.
Summary: Raise your hands if you've ever had a teacher who didn't realize that he or she was a very boring speaker who couldn't help but put you to sleep. In Milborough, we call that droning failure "Mr Warren."
