Although Lynn has changed the punchline so that Warren no longer wishes he could give Mike the strap for coming in late, he has not changed the man's blind hatred and contempt for the sea of faces in front of him.

(Strip Number 4887, Original Publication Date, 12 November 1987)

Panel 1: Having noticed that Mike and Gordon are late, Warren wants to know why.

Panel 2: Gordon stammers out the fact that Mike had to...you know...like spend a while in the boys' room to...uh...wash.

Panel 3: Baldy McBurnedout piles on the fake-ass solicitude about how squeaky-clean, kissable and ready for the new day he is with the intent of publicly shaming them' judging by how the silhouettes are laughing, he's done so.

Panel 4: Having succeeded in making them look stupid, the bastard thought-bubbles that sarcasm is saving his alleged sanity. He used to compare it to the strap that some awful person banned.

Summary: It's a good thing that Mike did wash his face. Otherwise, Lardass would have called him Avocado Head forever. It's like how that moron coach called Mike Pinky and it stuck.
