(Strip Number 7250, Original Publication Date, 8 November 1987)
Panel 1: We see Elly mixing up some sort of cake batter.
Panel 2: As she tastes it to see if it's how mother used to make, Mike appears.
Panel 3: After she pours the batter into the cake pan, Mike asks Elly if he can have what's left over.
Panel 4: As he courts salmonella by eating raw batter, Lizzie materializes.
Panel 5: She then sets up the conflict by declaiming on the unfairness of his bogarting the food poisoning.
Panel 6: He states that there's lots there before handing her the bowl.
Panel 7: Elly is impressed by his generosity.
Panel 8: She goes on to say that she's proud of him for having the maturity and common sense to meekly roll over and die in the face of strident idiot femininity.
Panel 9: He responds that it wasn't no thing.
Panel 10: When he says he didn't like it anyhow, Elly is gobsmacked.
Summary: There's a recurring theme with Mike that he's greedy with things he likes and generous with things he doesn't. This is just this year's interpretation thereof.
