Dawn is lacking in anything like self-awareness today when she rats out Richard because she hates snitches.
(Strip Number 4873, Original Publication Date, 6 October 1987)
Panel 1: As we reinforce the idea that doing chores is nothing more or less than a punishment for disobedience, Dawn tells Lizzie that she's in trouble with her mom because Richard sold her out.
Panel 2: He saw her in the park when she was supposed to be cleaning and went and told on her.
Panel 3: Lizzie yells "THAT DUMB RICHARD!"
Panel 4: Dawn reveals herself to be self-serving and hypocritical when she says that if there's one thing she hates, it's other people who tattle-tale.
Summary: This is yet another example of how things are only wrong when a Patterson is the victim of something.
