Thelma introduces Elly to the leading form of culture at the senior's complex: Bingo Night at the church.

(Strip Number 1198, Original Publication Date, 8 September 1987)

Panel 1: As Elly sets her care package down, Mrs Baird tells her that it's good to see her. The only problem is that she came on a busy night.

Panel 2: This is because this is the night they all go down to the church across the street.

Panel 3: Elly assumes that they go there for services.

Panel 4: When Thelma says that they go down there for bingo, the older woman's enthusiasm leaves Elly cold.

Summary: We're about to be reminded that bingo is not something Lynn has much patience for.
