Having set Mike up to be screamed at for not wanting to play with her, Lizzie whines that she finds kids her own age boring playmates; this leads her to prefer the company of Leah for some reason.

(Strip Number 1165, Original Publication Date, 10 June 1987)

Panel 1: We find ourselves in the Pattersons' back yard watching Elly ask Lizzie what's wrong; what's wrong is that Mike won't let her play with him.

Panel 2: As she puts "Yell at Michael for making Lizzie sad and thus stoking the flames of resentment" to her to-do list, Elly says that she's just going next door to visit Anne so Lizzie can play with the kids there.

Panel 3: Since it took another year to explain to Lynn that Dawn should be Lizzie's friend, we have Lizzie moan that she doesn't wanna play with the demon spawn because they're boring.

Panel 4: She is, however, quite taken with the idea of playing with Leah.

Summary: We get it, Lynn. Lizzie doesn't fit in because people are mean and not because she's a stand-offish little jerk hiding behind people's ankles.
