(Strip Number 4812, Original Publication Date, 9 June 1987)
Panel 1: As things speed towards their conclusion, Mike tries telling Lizzie that people who play out-outfield don't actually need a glove. Lizzie does the teary-eyed thing to insist that she does.
Panel 2: He then tries to explain that it doesn't fit in the first place and if the ball actually comes her way, she can simply use her hands. She turns her back and insists on needing it because she realizes that Mike is trying to get her to rage-quit.
Panel 3: When she gets really strident and grabby, they simply give up and go back to playing.
Panel 4: It turns out that the reason she needs it is that she needs something on her head to prevent sunstroke.
Summary: This is about it for the baseball game. Tune in tomorrow when we find out that she also doesn't fit in with kids her own age.
