(Strip Number 4793, Original Publication Date, 8 April 1987)
Panel 1: Things seem to be taking a bad turn when John and Elly argue over whether she's leading.
Panel 2: As he presses his case, Elly (who's trying to follow on her own rather than taking cues from him) declares that she's simply trying to go in the same direction he is.
Panel 3: Since he's trying not to his feet trod on, he bellows that she's shoving him in that direction.
Panel 4: As they both fume, John decides a marriage that can survive ballroom dancing can survive anything.
Summary: The thing that would unite them is a passing observer assessing the situation and telling them that they're both wrong. John should just shut up and take his lumps and Elly should pay more attention to the instructor.
