(Strip Number 1130, Original Publication Date, 2 April 1987)
Panel 1: When John brings home two tickets for ballroom dancing lessons, Elly is delighted.

Panel 4: Her excitement fades when John admits it was Jean's idea.
Summary: You'd think she would know better by now, right? This is, after all, an idiot whose idea of a great gift for the wife is an appliance or a big box of laundry detergent. He has to be pushed into getting her romantic gifts because as one Valentine's strip proves, his brain doesn't see the romantic things in life.
