(Strip number 1126, Original Publication Date, 24 March 1987)
Panel 1: As Phil's silhouette drinks coffee, Georgia tells Elly that she's just registered for china at Rosenblum's and selected a lovely pattern.
Panel 2: Since Phil's shtick is to be the panicky idiot who doesn't understand what's going on, he asks why they have to register for china when they've got perfectly good dinnerware now.
Panel 3: She explains that it would be very hard to get replacements for his perfectly good dinnerware.
Panel 4: Phil stands there looking stupid as she explains that they don't even make Melmac any longer.
Summary: This wanting to do things the 'simple', 'easy' almost gets him killed when he wants to save money on a move by bumming a half-ton of some guy and he makes Georgia sit in the back in the rain because he's too 'smart' to do a 'crazy' thing called 'having the sense God gave a God-damned ant.'
