(Strip Number 4783, Original Publication Date, 12 March 1987)
Panel 1: At breakfast, Elly tells Connie that no matter how much she exercised, she could never look like her.
Panel 2: She goes on to say that while Connie was built slim, she's put together the way she is. It's fate that makes her look like that.
Panel 3: Lizzie sets up the non-joke by asking Daddy what fate is.
Panel 4: He walks off and makes a childish joke about it being 'fat with an e.'
Summary: The interesting thing about the newer version is that whoever colored it removed the key element: a coffee cup being hurled at the back of John's head. This is like watching Mike make a smart remark without getting spanked.
