Connie foreshadows the way Mike behaves twenty odd years later by making it rather clear that her ideal house is the Pattermanse itself.

(Strip Number 4778, Original Publication Date, 5 March 1987)

Panel 1: We find Elly returning home from an exhausting day of helping Connie house hunt. She tells John that they scoured the town looking for houses.

Panel 2: She then tells John that Connie has only seen one house that appeals to her.

Panel 3: John asks "Oh? Which one is that?"

Panel 4: When she says "This one," John is appropriately flummoxed.

Summary: This, I should think, set an ugly precedent in that it established an anonymous-looking split level in a suburb as a Xanadu people would run over their own mother to inhabit.
