(Strip Number 4764, Original Publication Date, 16 February 1987)
Panel 1: Paula the instigator is practically slobbering with glee when she tells Lizzie that she found out that she got one more Valentine than sitting duck antagonist Melody Morrison.
Panel 2: When Lizzie asks "I did?", Paula tells her that she got twenty to stuck-up Melody's nineteen.
Panel 3: When Lizzie talks about how she feels guilty for throwing away the Valentine she was supposed to give to Melody, Paula asks her why.
Panel 4: The reason is that 'stuck up' Melody gave one to her.
Summary: The sad part of all of this is that it doesn't really go anywhere. Aside from a Sunday strip in which she's bad at giving directions, this is Melody's last appearance. As for Paula, she boasts about getting piercings and nylons and that's about it for her. Eventually, Lynn creates Candace because she forgot all about Paula.
