(Strip Number 4750, Original Publication Date, 22 January 1987)
Panel 1: Michael asks Elly why Phil is outside. She explains that he's smoking.
Panel 2: She responds to his angry beefing and says that she's not a militant anti-smoker, she just doesn't want it in her house.
Panel 3: Michael looks at Phil freezing in the blowing winter snow looking all pathetic because he can't push Elly into doing what he wants like the spoiled punk-ass bitch brat he is.
Panel 4: Since Mike has a brain that remembers that Elly reacts to anything she doesn't like by kicking it outside, he tells her to face the fact that she is militant.
Summary: As I implied yesterday, Phil represents how Alan seems to have accepted the societal change that forces him outside with little grace. He's my kind and I know how stubborn we can get when we feel slighted so this injured animal act doesn't surprise me in the least.
