(Strip Number 4749, Original Publication Date, 16 January 1987)
Panel 1: As she gets her ready for bed, Elly tells Lizzie Connie's current back-story: she and her unnamed and nameless husband got divorced a long time ago and he moved back to Brazil.
Panel 2: Since Lizzie was and is always unusually panicky, she immediately assumes that since one set of parents get a divorce, everyone will sooner or later. This makes her babble fearfully about how she wants Mommy to promise that she and Daddy are never going to get divorced and he isn't going to have to leave.
Panel 3: She goes on to ask Elly to PROMISE that things are always going to be the same forever and ever and ever so she doesn't have to worry.
Panel 4: She's practically wetting herself in terror with her final hysterical bleat of PROMISE!!!!
Summary: This strip is a promise that we're going to get notes that defame Rod and put all the blame on him when it's only half of his fault. We'll lead off with her being anxious about his harem and his going out into the world and end with her never seeing the betrayal coming. Also, a stop will be made at "Katie bloody hates Rod, everybody bloody hates him as much as I do."
