(Strip Number 4746, Original Publication Date, 13 January 1987)
Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Connie answer Elly's question of what attracted her to Greg by having her state that when she and he met, she just knew he was right for her.
Panel 2: He isn't suave or incredibly handsome but he's nice.
Panel 3: Connie goes on to say that he smelled right. This is important because if a man is perfect for you, he just smells right.
Panel 4: Elly's response is to take a long, critical whiff of John.
Summary: It's funny because he isn't perfect for her and never will be. Oh, she eventually convinces herself she is and wants Liz to get a John of her own but he really isn't what she needs because he never asks himself what she needs. Also, if the point of yesterday's strip was to tell us that Greg was wrong, why is Lynn proving him right? The women in this strip fail the Bechdel test so hard, it's a shameful thing.
