(Strip Number 4733, Original Publication Date, 20 December 1986)
Panel 1: As she emerges victorious from her heroic battle, we find Elly carrying the Space Babe to the car promising never to undergo such an awful and exhausting ordeal again.
Panel 2: She did it, though. She got Lizzie the Space Babe she wanted for Christmas.
Panel 3: As she looks at it, she finds the doll to be ugly, yet appealing. It might even be called cute and she thinks that she could love the thing.
Panel 4: She panics when she realizes that she's bonding.
Summary: Well, despite Lynn and Elly's clear preference for cute things and nice things instead of ugly, nasty things, lots of ugly things have a sort of a magnetic appeal. This arc is tribute to her wish that this was not the case and that children would love pretty things and nice things and thus be pretty and nice.
