Lizzie won't take no for an answer when Phil tries to duck out of being an uninvited guest.

(Strip Number 4712, Original Publication Date, 13 November 1986)

Panel 1: As he packs his trumpet away, Lizzie aasks Phil if he is staying for supper.

Panel 2: Phil says that he doesn't think so because he wasn't invited.

Panel 3: He then tries to explain that merely because Mike's lesson is over that 5:30, he shouldn't assume that he will stay.

Panel 4: This attempt to explain good manners to a Patterson falls on deaf ears attached to one half of an empty brain when Elizabeth embarrasses him by telling her mom he wants an invitation.

Summary: Lizzie never really grows out of being a graceless mental midget who doesn't know how to behave in public. After all, I hold between my index finger and thumb a nose that remembers the stench of her whining because she cannot intrude on Therese's marriage at random just because she feels lonely.
