Mike fights Ted Forth's war on the unending madness that is raking leaves a bit at a time like some boring ordinary person in his own way.

(Strip Number 6037, Original Publication Date, 8 November 1986)

Panel 1: We find ourselves in the yard watching Lizzie ask Mike, who's holding a rake and propping up a tree, what he's doing.

Panel 2: He says that Daddy told him to rake the leaves.

Panel 3: She asks him why he's not doing it.

Panel 4: He says that he's waiting for the rest to fall.

Summary: This, I should think, is why Mike fails in life. Instead of doing a little bit at a time like a boring, ordinary person, Dumbass waits until the problem becomes impossible and pitches a fit about how much work he's got. Then again, he is his mother's son.....
