(Strip Number 1097, Original Publication Date, 24 October 1986)
Panel 1: We find ourselves at school watching Lizzie add something up on her fingers.
Panel 2: As she does so, her snippy foghorn of a teacher screeches "FINGERS!! I SEE FINGERS!!!"
Panel 3: She scolds Elizabeth and blathers about how when we do our arithmetic, we do it in our heads.
Panel 4: Elizabeth then tries to visualize her fingers rather than use them where the teacher can see.
Summary: We find ourselves wondering which way to panic today. Are we going to have Lynn harrumph that children are 'treacherous' (which means that they don't understand what a mush-mouthed, mush-headed adult is saying) or are we going to get a Little Lindy show about evil teachers expecting tooo much and praising too-good-to-be-true types?
