We begin the end game of the arc when Elly takes Mike down to the theatre so she can tell a bad joke about bad actors.

Panel 1: Elly tells Mike that they asked her to go down to the Old Town Hall Theatre to go through the props and asks if he'd like to come with.
Panel 2: When they get there, she tells him to bring the flashlight because there are some dark spaces there and she isn't sure where everything is.
Panel 3: Michael thinks it's spooky and asks if anyone's ever died in there.
Panel 4: Since he doesn't know the jargon, Elly's reply "Of course. This is a theater." does not comfort him.
Summary: It's a good thing for Elly that Mike has a higher resistance for frightening things than she does. Otherwise, this spooky place in which we could well expect someone to sell herself a costume and try to scare people into saving the theater wouldn't have given him the idea she steals. That's right. I just told Elly to become a Scooby Doo villain.
