Elly's dedication to her cause is not absolute as she is unwilling to face arrest for blocking traffic.

(Strip Number 4692, Original Publication Date, 14 September 1986)

Panel 1: Description: As Elly and her troupe raise awareness about the need to save the Old Town Hall theatre, a nervous John asks her how long they will do this.

Panel 2: Elly says that she will not be moved until council agrees to restore the theatre.

Panel 3: Our old friend Constable Murdoch from the potty arc shows up to tell Elly that he'd hate to arrest her group for blocking traffic.

Panel 4: This causes a frightened, chastened Elly to agree to move.

Summary: This also causes Elly to want to shift tactics to those that won't make her pay a fine for disorderly conduct.
