(Strip Number 4691, Original Publication Date, 13 October 1986)
Panel 1: As she and John work on a patient, Jean tells John that she saw Elly downtown today.
Panel 2: John responds that she's put her heart into saving that theatre.
Panel 3: Jean says that Elly's got a lot of guts making a stand like that and has become a local landmark.
Panel 4: When the patient asks if they're talking about the nut with the sandwich board, they're shocked by the sort of landmark she's become.
Summary: As we've seen, most of the people in town seem to believe that even if the arts need funding, the sportsplex will provide it and thus Elly is on a fool's errand. In any event, they'll end up thinking something else when they vote for a MAN proposing the same damned thing for the same damned reason.
