Elly commands the plants to water themselves so she has one less task that fricking JOHN could EASILY do himself if he weren't a fricking CAVEMAN.

Panel 2: When she reminds herself that she's been too busy to water them, her need to feel guilty about having a personal life starts to kick in.
Panel 3: This takes the form of her accusing the pot of mums of looking at her.
Panel 4: She looks as if she's starting to crack up because she tells them to go to the sink and get their own water.
Summary: This "your demands on my time are driving me crazy" makes a lot of sense if you assume it's Lynn's way of saying that she cannot do chores.
