Panel 1: We find ourselves at the library today watching an ecstatic Susan tell Elly that one of her poems is on Page 147 of this month's Upper Crust Magazine.
Panel 2: They both smile when Sue points out that she's in print.
Panel 3: When she asks Elly "Doesn't it make you proud? Doesn't it make your head swim? Aren't you absolutely ecstatic?", Sue is greeted by a neutral expression.
Panel 4: This is because Underwhelmed Elly is not impressed that it is under an ad for lunch meat.
Summary: This is no doubt in reference to Lynn's dissatisfaction as to where some of her pre-Patterson material has been placed in the past. My guess is that back when Lynn was doing editorial cartoons, some poor fool made the mistake of not putting Lynn's stuff right on the front page and burying trivia like "President Nixon resigns" next to the used car ads.
