Panel 2: Yeahhhhh! Paul tells it like it is! Which of course, makes him Mr. Wrong for Liz. And "we'll work things out"? Who's "we"? You want to put it all on him, to pull up roots and reorder his life for you. Really, the tilt of your head says everything, combined with the pat on the arm. You're just placating him.
Panel 3: In other words, if he's willing to chase you, he will, and if his universe stops revolving around you, then you don't want him. And if a Native doesn't buy that crap, you KNOW it's crap*. Anyway, the reason you met is your mom pimped you out. Nothing deep about that.
Panel 4: WHAAAAAT?! Trust IS faith, you freakin' idiot! And since when do you have any faith, anyway, in the religious sense? What you mean is, you're content to sit still and let things happen. You DID wait for Anthony, and that waiting is about to pay off. You're not going to wait a tenth of a second for Paul. The minute he shows taillights, it's over.
*Not putting down any Native beliefs; just pointing out the difference between true philosophy and wistful-adolescent musings. Liz still has the mind of a teenager, while Paul is thinking like an adult. That's the other reason they won't end up together.
