Lizzie starts going by her full name when Helpful Boy hints at all the the awful things it rhymes with. Too bad that he doesn't know all the words that sound like her name or Lizardbreath would be a lot better off.

(Strip Number 4669, Original Publication Date, 6 September 1986)

Panel 1: Miss Blais takes the roll call and pauses when she gets to Elizabeth.

Panel 2: She then asks her if she'd rather be referred to as Lizzie or Elizabeth.

Panel 3: Lizzie's seat-mate astonishes her when he whispers "Dizzy, fizzy, tizzy, bizzy Lizzie."

Panel 4: Elizabeth decides that she'd like to be referred to by her full name.

Summary: This is because she only thinks that she's safe from having her name turned against her. She has no idea that in four years time, petulant nitwit Mike tags her with a name that follows her like a bad smell because he can't be asked to behave civilly towards her because of his pea-brained belief that not promising to destroy someone who mildly frustrates him is being weak.
