We continue merrily on watching the night of John's homecoming with Mike's being a boorish clod leading to some little kid theology from Lizzie.

(Strip Number 1080, Original Publication Date, 22 August 1986)

Panel 1: Later that day, we find Mike about to say his prayers but telling Lizzie to go away 'cause this is a private conversation.

Panel 2: He then says that she should say her prayers in her own room.

Panel 3: As she walks to her room, she says Okay.

Panel 4: She then asks how she's supposed to know if the line's free.

Summary: While it's true that we're probably dealing with something ripped from a sitcom, we can't rule out the possibility of a Little Lindy Show or even something related to the accident.
