We get to the real sticking point of why Lynn is really angry at Rod when Elly and Georgia try to figure out why Phil and John got a case of the stupids and come up empty.

(Strip Number 1072, Original Publication Date, 8 August 1986)

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the hotel room watching Georgia and Elly not being able to sleep.

Panel 2: Geo cuts Elly off before she can ask if they're widows or something now.

Panel 3: Since she's pissed at Phil for talking John into helping him commit suicide, Elly asks Georgia what made Phil do something this stupid and thoughtless.

Panel 4: Georgia moans that Phil said that he wanted to find himself.

Summary: While we'll never know for quite sure why Lynn is angry at Rod, we can safely speculate as to what the notes will be. My guess is that we'll get a self-justifying mess that derides his having a spirit of adventure because it exposed her to possibilities she wanted to blind herself to. What those possibilities are is up for grabs; being mad at him because they were put on the table isn't.
