We continue merrily on our voyage of discovering how little Lynn knows about the world when John points out that search and rescue teams generally only rescue people they know to be missing.

(Strip 1065, Original Publication Date, 29 July 1986)

Panel 1: As Phil warms himself by the fire, John tells him that he's found what's left of an old shack.

Panel 2: There's just one wall left but they can use it to make a crude lean-to.

Panel 3: Sitting by the fire, Phil wonders how long before someone finds them.

Panel 4: John says that depends on how long it is before they are missed and start looking.

Summary: Given that Rod filed a flight plan, it's going to be pretty hard for Lynn to twist the facts to match this but I have faith in her. Somehow, the delay in confirming her suspicion that he was flying to his death will somehow be his fault. Also, Search and Rescue officials will be patronizing dolts who hate her and want her to be a widow because they tried to explain to her that she had to wait for twenty four hours to file a report when she wanted her panic addressed right then and there.
