Panel 1: As he and John check into the motel, Phil says that they might as well bunk there because there's no point in camping out.
Panel 2: He then says that he's arranged for a five o'clock wake-up call; after that, they're have breakfast in the dining lounge and be on the lake at seven.
Panel 3: We then see them in a well-appointed room watching television.
Panel 4: John tells Phil that so far, wilderness camping suits him just fine.
Summary: This, I should think, will be his only pleasant memory of the trip; this is because he'll end up being the humiliated idiot Lynn wanted Rod to be. It galls and confuses her that danger shared is something to boast about because a bully like her does not understand how people with courage think.
