Now that we're at the meeting, we find ourselves watching Sue tell John that Elly is more confident than she actually is.

(Strip Number 4628, Original Publication Date, 6 June 1986)

Panel 1: Now that we're at the meeting itself, we find ourselves watching John tell Elly that it's almost her turn to speak.

Panel 2: The chairperson of the meeting introduces Elly and explains that she's doing a poetry reading.

Panel 3: John beams with pride when Susan says Elly looks as cool as a cucumber.

Panel 4: What nobody can see is that Elly's knees are nervously knocking behind the podium because talking in front of crowds is terrifying and bad.

Summary: This is probably going to be accompanied by notes about how terrifying public speaking is.
