(Strip Number 4617, Original Publication Date, 24 May 1986)
Panel 1: When Mike walks back into the house, John asks where he's been all evening.
Panel 2: He's pleasantly intrigued when Mike says that he was at Brian's looking at his dad's model railroad setup.
Panel 3: Since John has always been fasicinated by trains, the fact that Keith has that neat-sounding set-up and goes to nifty conventions appeals to him; he's also in agreement that Brian is fairly lucky to be part of it.
Panel 4: When the Ungrateful Wretch muses how nice it must be to have an interesting father, John visibly deflates.
Summary: The interesting thing is not that Mike is too stupid to realize that he's just dissed his dad. The interesting thing is that when John does take up model railroading, guess who suddenly thinks that the whole deal is stoopid?
