We set up next week's arc when The Ungrateful Wretch evilly defies Saint Elly The Martyr's noble campaign to save him from television and save parents from having to cave into his evil demands by taking his ingratitude show on the road.

(Strip Number 10997, Original Publication Date, 17 May 1986)

Panel 1: We start things off with Michael coming up with the daring and unforeseeable plan of asking Brian if they can watch TV at his place.

Panel 2: Brian points out that Michael was told to stay out of the house.

Panel 3: Mike points out that yes, she did say to stay out of A house.

Panel 4: Michael correctly and criminally assumes this only applies to his own house since his mom was not specific.

Summary: While Lynn seems to be trying to make Mike into a criminal mastermind defying the generosity of his loving mother, it says a lot about both her and Elly that the obvious solution of "going to someone else's house" is seen as a baffling thing that can't ever be anticipated so quit making mean picky-face talk about being born yesterday. This inability to understand the world from another person's perspective would later have near lethal consequences when Elly blanked out on realizing that to a four year old child, "ask someone" doesn't mean "ask me and me alone."
