Panel 1: We find Elly and Lizzie looking on as John recites the passage "Now, keeping the dog at the end of a long lead, give the command to come" from a guidebook/
Panel 2: He then says that by continually pulling and saying "come" you can train the dog.
Panel 3: Elly calls Michael several times with no response.
Panel 4: She then does the same sort of thing the last time John tried and failed to train Farley and asks him if there is a second lead.
Summary: It astonishes me that she doesn't get that her being a dismissive, tetchy jerk who can't wait to find fault with him is why he's reluctant to show up and absorb more of what the guy from Platypus Comix called her guano. What doesn't astonish me is Lynn's decision to reuse a bad joke.
