(Strip Number 1029, Original Publication Date, 1 April 1986)
Panel 1: Anne explains why she feels as if she's busting out all over when she tells Elly that for some reason she cannot understand, she's gained so much weight during her current pregnancy that she can barely move.
Panel 2: As they head into her house, Anne goes on to comment on how she seems to be constantly hungry and constantly thus eating.
Panel 3: If that were not bad enough, her guilty conscience is laying on a guilt trip about what she's doing to her figure.
Panel 4: Elly assumes that this is all happening because Annie is carrying a girl.
Summary: Yeah. Right. Because everyone knows that all women play this sort of passive-aggressive game with one another. It's this sort of logic that's going to come into play nine years later when everyone assumes that April summoned an ice storm to fool all of them.
