(Strip Number 4594, Original Publication Date, 31 March 1986)
Panel 1: We start things off in the yard on a pleasant late March day as Elly tells Annie that she loves this time of year.
Panel 2: What she likes about the time of year is new shoots and buds on the trees and the swelling blossoms of early spring plants like crocuses.
Panel 3: She exclaims that Spring is bustin' out all over.
Panel 4: Since Anne is close to her due date, her deadpan comment "Tell me about it" indicates that she feels like she's busting out all over as well.
Summary: While it's something I can never really experience, I am a creature of reason and thus can at the very least empathize with someone who's obviously in extreme discomfort like Anne is. Too bad that's more than Elly can manage.
