(Strip Number 1023, Original Publication Date, 21 February 1986)
Panel 1: As John messily devours an apple, Mike whines about how unfair it is that they had the hardest test of the year an'Brian just plain aced it.
Panel 2: When John alludes to the fact that Brian might have actually studied instead of whining about how HARD math is and how much he HATES and how he WON'T DO IT, Mike gets all defensive about his also having studied.
Panel 3: John sets up the punchline by suggesting that perhaps, Mike should concentrate on what he's doing.
Panel 4: Horrified Mike is horrified when he exclaims to Daddy that he can't THINK when he concentrates.
Summary: I believe him because we've seen Mike in still moments. Instead of being able to focus on things, our boy's mind turns into something akin to the rap segments from BnL's 'One Week': a whirring array of random images that distract him from the task at hand. It seems that he'd have better grades if he were to study next door to a boiler factory.
