Lizzie's noisy, messy but sincere attempt to help makes Marian glad that she doesn't have children underfoot where they don't belong.

(Strip Number 1003, Original Publication Date, 8 January 1986)

Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Lizzie do something that Lynn believes no child should do because of an impulse she can't admit they have when she (messily) helps Grandma mash the spuds.

Panel 2: She then wants praise for messily putting carrots in the pot.

Panel 3: When Lizzie asks Marian if she likes having the help, Grandma says she does.

Panel 4: She thought-bubbles that it makes her realize how quiet her own kitchen is.

Summary: Any notes will be a Little Lindy Show about how Mrs Ridgway didn't much care to have small fry underfoot when she was doing things and about how Lynn doesn't understand why that's messed up.
