Panel 1: As they continue to walk around the neighborhood, Mike asks Lawrence if he's sad about having to move. Lawrence says that he sometimes is.
Panel 2: The thing is that his mom is really happy. She likes her new job and she's got a new boyfriend.
Panel 3: Since the whole moving thing seems to have started with Lawrence's mom having a boyfriend, Mike gets all panicky only to be reassured that this new one not only really, really likes her a lot, he does something else cool.
Panel 4: Said cool thing is really liking him.
Summary: The odd thing about Lynn's claim that Greg represents the sort of step-dad she wishes Rod is is that the only times we saw Greg and Lawrence together were the many steps together speech, the "Get out of MY house because I don't want YOUR kind here gaying it up because I'm stupid and useless" incident (which led to the "I can't judge you because I'm just your mom's husband" idiocy) and the "Gardening is the only thing he and Lawrence have in common" thing. We don't see a Hell of a lot of good step-parenting in the Poirier/Thomas house because we get homophobia from him and Connie being a shrieking idiot because she wails about wild animals who hate her because she's too dumb to realize Greg tossed her under the bus.
