We resume the "Connie rings out the old" arc with the old....I mean Ted telling John and Elly that he'd rather not have an audience to his pathetically pleading for another chance to be a total God-damned disappointment as a boyfriend.

(Strip Number 4550, Original Publication Date, 28 December 1985)

Panel 1: Having realized that for some reason, everyone ends up at his buddy John's house, Ted barges into the living room and tells Connie that he knew he'd find her there.

Panel 2: Connie reminds him that they aren't seeing each other any more.

Panel 3: Learning-Impaired, Blame-Evading Idiot Ted isn't going to let a little thing called "her remembering his being an abrasive, demeaning jackass" get in the way of what he assumes will be her taking him back yet again and launches into a speech about how he sees her in his mirror, in his sleep.....

Panel 4: Having suddenly realized that John and Elly are still there, he angrily comments on how he's got an audience.

Summary: Since he doesn't know that she's borrowed the strength to move on from the man she proposed to despite barely really knowing, he'll be seeing something else: his throwing a wedding invitation in the trash.
