Panel 1: Elly tells John that she wants to put her folks up in their room while she and John sleep in the family room on the old couch.
Panel 2: She says that they'd like their privacy and she thinks it'll be fun roughing it. He agrees to this plan.
Panel 3: A delighted Elly hugs John and tells him that she's grateful that he is so flexible.
Panel 4: John thought-bubbles that his flexibility is a good thing because he feels he's bending over backward.
Summary: The interesting thing is that flexibility IS a great thing when he's not the one doing the bending. When he has to do it, it's bad. When the PRINCESS he didn't know he'd raised does it, it's super fab and groovy, baby!!
