Panel 1: We find Mike, Brian and Gordon on the outside of the house looking in. When Brian asks if they can play inside, Mike tells him no 'cause his dad is layin'down.
Panel 2: When Brian asks how long his dad is going to be asleep, Mike dunno.
Panel 3: The boys look in the window at a comatose John snoring away.
Panel 4: Mike opines that adults are always so innocent-looking when they're asleep.
Summary: The 'joke' is supposed to be that we're reversing polarity on the old thing about how evil, chaos-loving children who detest the idea of the mother they were born hating being happy looking so harmless looking when they sleep but is blunted by the fact that John is only not a rat bastard idiot when he's not awake to be a total freaking greaseball.
