We end the week with Elly reminding herself of her major malfunction.

(Strip Number 980, Original Publication Date, 23 November 1985)

Panel 1: As Elly slaves away at her project, John asks how close she is to being finished because she's being doing it for hours.

Panel 2: He then asks why if there are all those other people at her work, everything is dumped on her.

Panel 3: She tells him that nobody forced all this on her because she volunteered to do the lot.

Panel 4: She then thought-bubbles that the problem with a big mouth is biting off more than you can chew.

Summary: As I've said, Elly's major flaw is her need to be needed leads her to do more than people actually need of her. Ah, well. At least she's aware of the problem despite not wanting to do anything about it. Who knows? Maybe the need to do too much might lead to her actually being praised for once!
