Panel 1: We start things off with Elly working outside when Lizzie comes over and tells Mommy to lookit the the beautiful leaves she found.
Panel 2: She then tells Mommy that Miss Lyon wants them to find four different fall leaves an'to say what tree they comed from.
Panel 3: Whem Elly asks Lizzie if she knows which tree each leaf came from. Lizzie says "Uh-huh!!"
Panel 4: When she points to each one saying "that one," Elly is confused and terrified.
Summary: This is yet another example of Elly being flabbergasted because a child has betrayed her and ruined her life by not being instantly aware of the world around her. She always wonders who made it her job to explain things to kids when they pay teachers to do that for her.
